October 27, 2023, Cedar Knolls, NJ: Main Library Alliance (Main) is pleased to welcome New Providence Memorial Library (NPML) to its network, effective on or before December 7, 2023. NPML represents the 38th member library and 50th physical location.
The addition underscores Main’s continued commitment to providing high-quality, cost-effective shared services to its member libraries. With the addition of NPML, Main expands its reach from Hunterdon, Morris, Somerset, and Warren Counties into now Union County. With access to Main’s diverse and innovative selection of enriching, entertaining and informative resources, NPML will be more firmly positioned to meet the New Providence community’s evolving needs; and realize its vision to discover, collaborate, and connect.
“Our membership is very much looking forward to welcoming New Providence, the first member library located in Union County, to Main,” said Phillip Berg, Main Executive Director. “Public libraries continue to lead the way in forming valuable shared services partnerships that both improve residents’ access to libraries while more efficiently utilizing tax dollars.”
