Position Summary:
The Little Falls Public Library is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Part-Time Youth Services
Library Assistant to support library services for children, teens, and families. This position assists
with youth programming, provides excellent customer service, and helps maintain a welcoming,
safe, and engaging library environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with planning, preparing, and presenting youth programs, including story times,
crafts, and special events.
• Provide friendly customer service to all library patrons.
• Ability to perform circulation desk duties such as handle check-ins and check-outs,
manage holds, and process overdue materials.
• Assist patrons with basic reference questions, readers’ advisory, and use of library
resources
• Create and help distribute promotional materials for youth programs (flyers, displays,
etc.)
• Support daily library operations as needed
What We’re Looking For:
• Experience working with children and/or teens in a library setting or educational setting
is a plus.
• Creativity, patience, and enthusiasm for youth services.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility and willingness to adapt to different tasks.
• High attention to detail and strong communication abilities.
• Basic computer proficiency is a must.
• Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.
• Prior library experience is a plus.
• Seasonal community outreach involvement.
Position Details:
• Part-time: Up to 20 hours per week (flexibility required).
• Compensation: Hourly wage based on experience.
