Riverdale Public Library
Position Title: Library Director
The Riverdale Public Library, located in Morris County in northern New Jersey, serves a small but library-loving community of 4,000. An engaged Board of Trustees actively supports the Director. A thriving Friends group provides ongoing supplemental financial support.
Key responsibilities of the position are:

Provide advice to Library Board of Trustees on policy, finances, planning, library performance, and library laws

Hire and supervise staff

Prepare and manage library budget

Manage library services and programs
-
Identify and implement outreach services to the community

Manage and maintain the library building, computer technology, and the library’s automation system

Represent the library in the community and promote its services

Excellent communication skills and the ability to identify opportunities and effect change
Requirements:

NJ State Librarian Certification, strongly preferred

Five years related library experience
Salary range is $70,000 to $80,000 depending on experience
