FT Programming Associate at Warren County Library – Blairstown
Position Title: Library Associate
Position Overview:
The Warren County Library system is seeking applications for a Library Associate. This enthusiastic and
organized person will book performers, lectures, and other programs, manage the calendar software,
and help run the Makerspace. This position will be based out of the newly renovated Catherine Dickson
Hofman Branch in beautiful Blairstown, NJ.
Key Responsibilities
Under supervision of the CDH Branch Manager, the Library Associate will book events that speak to the
interests and needs of two branches of the Warren County Library system. They will collaborate with
another Programming Associate (who manages the other branches’ events). This job entails:

- Sourcing performers, vetting them, and creating vendor contracts
- Understanding the specific needs and interests of the community to ensure relevant programming
- Handling budgets and negotiating fees
- Entering all data for both vendor-led and staff-led events into the library event software
- Operating Makerspace equipment like 3D Printer, Embroidery Machine, and Sublimation Printer
- Teaching classes to the public utilizing Makerspace equipment
- Assisting staff with circulation duties as needed

- Organization and project management skills are crucial to this position
- A team player who can communicate effectively with vendors, staff, and the public
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workplace
- Able to work collaboratively on projects like the Summer Reading Program
Education
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree.
Hours and Compensation
This position is a 35-hour workweek and includes a regular schedule of one evening per week, one mid-
shift per week, and one Saturday per month. Additional evening and weekend hours may be required
based on operational needs, including special events and programs.
Hiring Salary Range: $41,645 to $44,056
