Children’s Services Supervisor
The Randolph Library is seeking an energetic, innovative, proactive and customer-service oriented individual for the position of Children’s Services Supervisor. This full-time position requires experience in supervision, programming, technology, collection development, and in providing excellent customer service. Our library is very busy and offers a variety of programs for children, teens, and families including story times, book clubs, science programs, arts & crafts, and special events. Other responsibilities include children’s and adult reference, public relations, flyer creation, readers’ advisory, and social media updates. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Polaris, Evanced and e-book platforms is a plus.
The person we are seeking is a team player with excellent communication skills. Previous experience as a children’s librarian required, supervisory experience preferred. Qualifications include an MLS or MLIS from an ALA accredited institution and have (or be eligible for) a NJ Professional Librarian’s certificate issued by the NJ Department of Education. The schedule for this position is 35 hours per week, including a regular evening, and regular Saturday coverage on a rotating basis.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
