Chester Library – Adult Programming/Communications

The Chester Library is seeking a strong, proactive customer service oriented person to plan, coordinate and administer adult public programs and events. This person will also be responsible for managing and developing marketing communications materials and activities to promote library programs and events as well as managing online and print publicity for all library functions.

This 20 hours/week position requires some evening and weekend hours and some flexibility in availability. Please send your resume and cover letter detailing your applicable experience along with references to Lesley Karczewski at or fill out an application in person at the Library.


· College degree in marketing, communications or public relations preferred but relevant programming and communications experience will be considered.
· Program planning and promotion experience is desired. Experience working with library programming is desirable but not required.
· Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent computer skills.
